My name is Paul, and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself and this site.

Here at HappyTire, I’m just looking to craft and sell a few cool things to make your RC better, easier, cooler, and more fun.

RC is my hobby and passion.  I’ve owned a couple of RC race tracks in the Austin Texas area.  Bought my first track — N-Control 8th scale off-road — in 2001 and developed it for almost a decade.  In 2016, my family bought some land in Dale Texas.  In a convenient clearing, I built a new N-Control… on-road racing this time.  Added dirt oval in 2021 and am building 10th off-road for 2026.

I enjoy designing and fabricating things.  In early 2026, my Facebook was bombarded by a particular ad claiming to be the “best” tire gluing jig on the market.  Because after looking I didn’t really think that was true, this ad started me thinking about tire gluing and what a better solution might be.  I think I came up with one.  Then a friend asked me to make a board to hold the SkyRC Corner Weight System in position, and that turned out pretty well.  I decided these would make fun products to build and sell… and that required a website to sell them on.

As a site name, I came up with HappyTire RC.  A little quirky, and kind of sounds like something some Chinese factory would use!  However, I think it’s memorable and it comes with a build in mascot idea.  It’s really just a name for the website… if you grace me with a purchase, you’ll conduct business with N-Control RC Inc.  That will be the name on the charge and the return address on your shipment.  It’s my email domain as well, because I REALLY don’t want to check yet another email address.

Please note that HappyTire RC is just me and I’m doing it as a hobby business.  I’ll do my best to answer your questions promptly via email (but not phone, sorry!).  I’ll ship as quickly as I can, and you should expect a couple days for something standard and around a week to 10 days for custom orders.  I do have a wife, a couple of young daughters (who finally race!), four dogs, and a racing facility.  If life gets in the way, I will let you know as soon as I know.
